Intermediate II Business/Financial/Management Analyst
Location : 600 Independence Avenue Southwest, Washington D.C., DC 20591

Objectstream is seeking an Intermediate II Business/Financial/Management Analyst for its FAA ATO support team. The position requires the successful candidate to perform the coordination, accounting, planning and administration functions. This includes budget planning, execution, and monitoring; program analysis; and workforce strategy support.

You must be able to:

  • Distill critical financial information from large data sets and develop informative reports
  • Make recommendations to executive-level customers
  • Meet with customers on an as-needed basis
  • Perform analysis on Inactive/current obligations as well as unexpended balances
  • Provide reporting on obligated funds as well as available funding
  • Maintain and update Dashboard

Qualifications/Skills Required:

  • A Bachelor degree or higher in a related field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Program Management
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to interact positively with multiple customers
  • Experience using MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access)
  • Ability to satisfy FAA resume approval and security requirements

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the FAA and/or the aviation industry; with supporting FAA programs is a plus.

Technical Writer

Objectstream is rooted in FAA mission critical programs including Navigational systems, Flight Inspection, Information Technology, and Business support functions.

As Technical Writer you will support our client, the FAA, by reading and analyzing highly technical materials to create presentations. This material may be specifications, drawings, user manuals, reports, or training documents.

Your Responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in planning team meetings; take notes and coordinate with SMEs for US positions. Coordinate with SMEs in development of US papers, incorporate positions into formal US Policy/position papers.
  • Create division’s Newsletter.
  • Compile and review staff inputs for the division’s newsletter
  • Provide editorial expertise to staff members
  • Interview staff for supplemental newsletter information
  • Provide detailed analysis of written reports, agency memorandum and external letters to stakeholders as required by the directorate.
  • Provide advanced automation support through use of applications such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access, etc
  • Develop and maintain the division SharePoint Site.
  • Lead, review and schedule the revision and updates of the division website.
  • Compile, analyze, and evaluate a variety of resource data to prepare reports, charts, graphs or written analysis in support of program responsibilities.
  • Compile and review updated Business Plan tasks
  • Enter Business Plan into SPIRE
  • Update and/or create Smart Sheets as needed
  • Organize monthly information sharing meeting to inform staff about other programs and directives within the Agency.

Qualification Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • 3+ years technical writing (please submit technical writing portfolio or samples)

Qualifications Desired:

  • Experience with FAA National Airspace System (NAS) systems
  • Documentation and Training areas

Senior JAVA Developer with jBPM Experience

The Senior Java Developer will be a key participant in the overall design and development of mission critical applications, creating solutions that integrate new technologies and leverage industry best practices to produce sophisticated software for the customer. The Senior Java developer will work as a key member of the solutions delivery team; focused on delivering an optimal end-user experience while meeting business requirements and providing creative solutions to technical challenges.

 

Your day at work will consist of...

  • Being a key participant in the Application Solution Analysis, Design and Development.
  • Designing elegant solutions around the business requirements
  • Designing application for low-impact maintenance and functionality updates
  • Implementing new development methods and technologies
  • Work in an Agile environment - delivering a quality and working product at every iteration
  • Working with Project Management and Collaboration suites
  • Creation of technical and functional design documentation as needed
  • Participating in process analysis and modernization
  • Demonstrating strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Utilizing knowledge of Web Service API’s for integration purposes
  • Working in a team environment and helping each other to achieve the iteration goals.

 

You come equipped with...

6+ years of application development experience in IT industry and:

  • At least 2 years of jBPM hands on experience.
  • Solutions delivery and design experience in web application and web service architecture.
  • Hands-on expertise with the following concepts or technologies:
    • J2EE Frameworks (Spring / Hibernate)
    • Hands On experience on AngularJS, Bootstrap
    • MVC concepts
    • Experience in managing JBOSS Application Server
    • Hands on experience with Linux Operating Systems
    • Web Services (SOAP, RESTful)
    • Ability to write good JUnit Test Cases
    • Experience with mocking frameworks such as Mockito/PowerMock
    • Good understanding of Web Security best practices
    • Experience with testing Webservices using Swagger UI or Postman
    • Good understanding of Web Security best practices (eg: OWASP)
    • Good to have experience on Build frameworks such as Maven/Gradle/Ant
  • Demonstrate the ability to optimize project architecture needs, and function within business constraints or technological realities.
  • Self-motivated, with demonstrable proficiency for solutions design; should be analytical, communicative, work well in teams, and be able to handle multiple priorities.

 

Education and Certifications

B.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent
